Statement of Faith
We BELIEVE that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, and was written by men who were inspired by the Holy Spirit.
We BELIEVE in the true and living God who created the heavens and the earth and who has revealed Himself to us in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We BELIEVE that salvation, the forgiveness of sins, is received as a gift of God on the basis of faith in His Son Jesus Christ.
We BELIEVE that Jesus Christ died on the cross to atone for sin, that God raised Him from the dead on the third day and that He is alive and present with us in the person of the Holy Spirit.
We BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is coming again to judge the world in righteousness and to establish God's kingdom on the earth.
We BELIEVE that the worship of God should be in Spirit and in Truth, therefore we emphasize singing songs of praise and thanksgiving along with the preaching and teaching of God's Word.
We BELIEVE that the chief characteristic of God is love and that our highest priority in life on this earth is to love God and to love one another.
1. What About Church Membership?
Calvary Chapel WestGrove has no official membership policies or procedures. You can determine whether you are a member of the church (or desire to be) by looking at four crucial areas:
- Born-Again: Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ? (John 3:3)
- Fellowship: Do you consistently attend services every week? (Hebrews 10:25)
- Tithing: Do you tithe regularly? (Leviticus 27:30; 2 Corinthians 9:6-7)
- Involvement: Are you serving the church body in some capacity? (1 Corinthians 12)
If these things are true of you as you are growing here at CCWG, then you are a “member” of this fellowship.
2. What About Baptism?
We invite all those who have made personal professions of faith in Jesus Christ to be baptized in faith and obedience to His Word. We have our Baptism service after the Wednesday Night Bible Study four times per year: February, May, August, November.
3. When Do You Celebrate The Lord’s Supper?
We encourage every believer in Jesus Christ to join with us as we celebrate Communion together as an entire body on the first Sunday of each month during our Sunday Morning services and weekly during our Sunday Evening Service.
4. Does The Church Offer Pastoral Prayer For Healing?
James 5:14-15 tells us: “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.”
